As a way to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation LIVE! has partnered with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization. We choose to help save the Amazon rainforest, the largest Brazilian biome and our home! This was a method where we could ensure that our ecosystem is taken care of and that the trees in the Amazon would grow strong and healthy.
WHY PLANTING TREES HELP OUR PLANET
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the worldās terrestrial biodiversity. Forest provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Every step of the textile industry consumes a lot of energy, from producing fabrics to transporting and selling clothes to consumers. Transforming the fashion industry to run on renewable energy is vital for a more sustainable society.We proudly started this journey in 2021 at our factory and central office located in JaraguĆ” do Sul, Brazil. Both of our buildings use 100% renewable energy to avoid greenhouse gas emissions. Replacing the electricity generated in thermal plants powered by fossil fuels with renewable sources, such as solar energy, is one of the ways we invest in an effective Carbon Insetting.
LONG TERM GOALS
Our long-term goal is to be the leading fitness and lifestyle brand with a positive impact on the regeneration of the planet.To that end, we will continue to make smart improvements to our products and we are committed to 3 responsible goals to reach by 2025.
We want most of our products to be more sustainable, making less of an impact on the planet.
By 2025, we will have at least 50% of our collection made from more responsible fabrics.
Thinking about the future of our planet, we are constantly looking for more responsible materials for our collections. We focus on research and development of fabrics that generate less impact on the environment. We also reuse all the water used in our production process (also commonly known as water recycling).
In 2020 we started measuring our carbon footprint and our goal is to drastically reduce and offset our emissions by 2025.
How we measure: In order to reach our goal of reducing our carbon footprint, we are measuring our impact and showing our results. We track our emissions in three different areas. Learn more about this initiative.
Conscious Energy: We manufacture our products with 100% renewable energy and this has contributed significantly to our goal of carbon offsetting.
queProduct End-of-Life: Unfortunately, most products are disposed of in landfills, emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere as they decompose. We are working to find solutions that prevent this environmental damage.
We know that single-use plastic is one of the main ocean pollutants and we want to be part of the solution of this problem. Therefore, we decided to reduce the use of this material in our online orders. By 2023, our goal is to ship our online orders with ZERO single-use plastic.
